Why We Do

We believe that over the next decade, small-to-medium-sized media businesses—driven by creators and the technology that enables them—will fundamentally change the way we interact with culture, commerce, and communication in our day-to-day lives.

In 2017, cinephile, sneakerhead, and ultimate frisbee nut Nathan Graber-Lipperman was unhappy, writing for a blog that prioritized clicks and views over everything else.

A lifelong community-builder obsessed with making things — chiefly, translating his passions into a reality — NGL decided to start an online publication that swapped clickbait and half-baked takes for longform storytelling on Gen Z culture and life.

Since that fateful spring day, our goal has remained consistent: to create evergreen worlds, worlds that we can continue to revisit and grow with over time. Over the years, we've directly managed creators with upwards of 1 million followers, consulted brands on their content strategy, and produced our own stories and shows.

While each project we create is unique, we believe the different roadmaps provided all converge on a crash course with the future we want to build, together. Therefore, we partner with the good people of the internet to celebrate their stories, drop collaborative products, and host interactive events that take the conversation further.
