UP Relaunch Tee
It’s been a long journey for me with Unplugg’d.
If you don’t know the story, here’s the abbreviated version: I created Unplugg’d when I was senior in high school after writing for a sports blog that would publish pretty much anything (as long as it was over 250 words). The goal was to create longform, high quality written content at the intersection of all those grey lines in popular culture. More people joined on; we launched a podcast network; we created an original video series; started other publications; pivoted to a completely different idea; then took a break to refocus our brad.
So much for longform, amiright?
Anyway, that all brings us to here: The Relaunch. After months of going back-and-forth on what we wanted to stand for, we realized that the value proposition of this thing was simple: it’s all about the people. We believe in longform and dialogue, and all the stories we tell and projects we take on aim to embody our values.
You’ll find this new UP Relaunch Tee with a twist: our classic square logo with yellow outlined lightning bolts shooting out of the corners, as well as the numbers “4-26-20” to celebrate our relaunch.
Oh yeah, and one other thing: if you read my story about the last seven months, you probably know that the reason I decided to tell it was due to how many people it resonated with. Some of the people who reached out to me since have thanked me, expressing that they felt they were alone in the shit they were going through.
Therefore, we’ve decided to donate 10% of all profit of this tee to This Is My Brave, an organization that believes we can end mental health stigmas by empowering people to tell their stories through creative works.
